PSSST, rider…
Yes, you in the aero socks and skin suit…
And you over there with the baggies and big fork…
And you… Yes, you…
We see you with the borrowed gravel bike and the nervous excitement all over your face…
Gather ‘round riders of all shapes and sizes. All colours and creeds.
We’ve got some BIG news you’re going to want to hear.
See…
It’s the 20th anniversary of the Otway Odyssey & 10th anniversary of the Great Otway Gravel Grind.
And to celebrate we’re pulling out all stops to make it the biggest, raddest, most memorable edition in history.
- There’s a NEW course for the 100km MTB. (More flowy single track. Less derailleur-eating 4WD track. No filler, all thriller!)…
- There’s a NEW 106km (world class) course for the Great Otway Gravel Grind…
- There’s a NEW 50km MTB course…
- There’s a NEW format for the weekend (now you can ride TWO mountain bike races, TWO gravel races or mix and match for a truly gritty weekend)…
- There’s the addition of a NEW 75km MTB option (the perfect ‘weekend warrior’ material between the 50km and the 100km)…
- There’s races for the kids (Groms, 10km MTB, 30km MTB)…
- There’s the much loved “Otway Angels” initiative, to support and encourage women wanting to ride / race (yeah the girls!)…
- There’s celebrations on and OFF the course (with retro bike parade, retro kit awards, personalised race plates, the “Avenue of Achievement” celebrating icons of the Odyssey, more entertainment, more food. The list goes on).
Bottom line is:
We’re “making Odyssey great again”* and it’s going to be a hoot.
So…
Whether you’re an elite chomping at the bit to “win the big one”, an age-grouper looking to battle it out for podiums, a newbie wanting to try your hand in the 30km MTB, or a social-rider wanting to cruise the GOGG…
Consider this your calling.
The bike community is converging on Forrest this summer for the biggest party of the year…
ARE YOU COMING?
*No political connotations intended!

WHAT RIDERS HAVE TO SAY:
“Brutal. But it is the Odyssey!”
– David, 2022 100km Odyssey rider
“The was my first mountain bike event at age 51. I had the best time. The course was brutal but so rewarding to hit the finish line. I’m still on a high 4 days later and I can’t stop talking about the race. The whole thing really blew me away!”
– Mark 2021 100km Odyssey rider
“Incredible single track, stunning scenery, excellent support and sensational race and event village vibe … there’s so much to love about the Otway Odyssey!”
– Shane 2020 100km Odyssey rider
“30 seconds into the race I had a face full of dust and I knew it was going to be a good ride! The sweet single track and hard-@ss climbing didn’t disappoint…”
– Kathryn 2019 50km 2nd-place Female.
“It’s still my favourite course, in my favourite setting, at the best time of year and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves adventure and awesome trails, and the shorter varieties to anybody staring out.”
– Peta Mullens, 5-time Otway Odyssey female Champion
“We shall ride on the oval, we shall ride on the hard-packed berms, we shall ride in the fields and through the streams, we shall ride in the hills; we shall never surrender.”
– Winston Shredhill, first ever finisher of the Otway Odyssey 100km course (ok, we made that one up but the rest are real! 😂)

What is the Otway Odyssey?
Some say it’s a MTB “sufferfest” turned festival-of-all-things-riding-off-road…
Others say it’s a magic spell that hypnotises adventurous mountain bikers and “gravelleurs” and draws them in year-after-year…
The elites say it’s the “unofficial marathon national championships” – The one they ALL want to win…
One thing is unanimous:
If you love bikes and have a heartbeat…
It’s the ONLY place to be in the last weekend of Feb.
