Who are Good Cycles
Good Cycles is a social enterprise supporting marginalised young people to secure safe and meaningful jobs by using social and environmental innovation to break down employment barriers they face.
Did you know that 80% of young people struggle to find or keep jobs? Good Cycles believes they can change this with an approach of innovation, partnerships and collaboration.
Since 2013, Good Cycles has provided employment and training pathways to over 750 Young People. They create job opportunities across four divisions:
- Good Bikes: Bike retail and servicing, and e-bike hubs management
- Good Spaces: Large scale green space, graffiti removal and asset maintenance services
- Good Deliveries: Specialist inner-city delivery, logistics and organic waste collections delivered via e-bikes
- Good People: Specialist managed workforce partnerships with values-aligned partners
Their Youth Employment Program (YEP) offers jobs to people aged 18-28 with adult wages alongside tailored coaching and support. Their ‘learn by doing’ approach is offered with personal choice in career pathways in an inclusive workplace to deliver technical and transferable skills. Long-term employment alongside support helps build confidence, stability and networks, enabling young people to continue to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
